We love crappie fishing and everything about crappie. The scientific name for crappie is Pomoxis, so that is how we decided on the name for our jig heads.
When we started making jig heads we were making them for our own personal use. We were wanting jig heads that had stronger hooks than the ones that were already on the market. After testing several different hooks, we found the Mustad Steelhead hook allowed us to boat flip 2 pound plus crappie without any issues whatsoever. We use a #2 steelhead in our 1/8th oz and in our 1/16th oz we use a #4 steelhead. These hooks don't bend!
